Story Sector Zero ( Story events of Subnautica: Below Zero) Most likely it is a combination of the two. It is unknown if this lifespan is naturally long, or augmented like Paul Torgal’s, who had expected to live to the age of 160. The same individual was near 700 Earth-years old ( born 1,708 Earth-years ago) when its body became infected after the Kharaa outbreak and the consciousness was stored in a data hub.

They are known to have had an extremely long lifespan, as evidenced in a data bank entry by the mention of a ninety-six year old Architect being considered very young. This comment also confirms that they are part mechanical. Al-An states that his kind had a original form which they threw away because it was hardly useful. Al-An claims that "My kind navigates spacetime in conjunction with bio-mechanical vessels, altered and evolved over time to serve our needs", which implies that the Architects were biomechanical in nature and had actually augmented their species to suit their needs, with bodies being easily replaceable. The term of "seed" used in their description could refer to an organic seed, or possibly one inside a computer. According to Al-An, his kind are able to see beyond the physical realm, but are not above it.Īrchitects were most likely composed of both organic and mechanical parts, given that they were infected with Kharaa, and the bacterium was "uploaded" to their core worlds. They are also seemingly able to transfer consciousness' through multiple bodies without any ill effects.

Prior to being uploaded to Data Hubs, members of the Architects were non-bipedal and were approximately 50% larger than the average human, putting them at around 9 feet tall by today's figures. 2.2 Crater Events ( Story events of Subnautica).2.1 Sector Zero ( Story events of Subnautica: Below Zero). Thanks for the reply! In order to reach the Fabricator base, do I have to go through the vertical path surrounded by crystals that leads to the Architect Base, or is it in another part of the Purple Crystals biome ? Plus, I already have the recipies for alien tissue, organs and the 3rd part that I don't recall, if these are what you meant by the "3 total caches". Then you need to find one in the Deep Lillypad biome, and one in the biome with the purple crystals. You've already been in one, the Arctic Spires cache. To fully do everything in the Fabricator base, you also need to go in 3 total caches. You will have to get out of your Seatruck at the last part and swim for the actual Fabricator base. Then go deeper until you reach about 890 meters or so, so you don't destroy your Seatruck.

Eventually you will see red crystals, which is the right biome. Eventually, you will get in the biome with purple crystals. If so, go there, and then just go deeper and deeper whenever possible. You've probably been to Marguerit's base before. To get there, you need to start at the Lillypad islands. Originally posted by HeyThere:The Fabricator Caverns is pretty much the Crystal Caves.
